VWR Foundation Board Members
Jim Bramwell
Jim Bramwell is currently serving as a Vice President for the VWR Foundation and as an advisor for the Communications Committee. He is also the Senior Vice President of Strategic Partners and Business Development for VWR International, LLC with responsibilities to support its global strategic customers.
Prior to serving as Senior Vice President of Strategic Partners, Jim served as Vice President of the Southwest Area and Mexico, Vice President of Major Accounts, Director of Global Accounts and Region Manager for VWR.
Jim holds a Bachelors of Science degree in business management from Brigham Young University.
Valerie Cucinotta Collado
Valerie Cucinotta Collado is currently serving as the Vice President and Secretary for the VWR Foundation and as an advisor of the Communications and Marketing Committee. She also serves as the Director of Corporate Communication for VWR International, LLC. In this position Valerie is responsible for the Corporate and North American communications programs which includes newsletters, the Intranet, associate recognition and public relations.
Before joining VWR, Valerie worked for Borders Group Inc. as the District Marketing Manager where she developed and implemented annual marketing and public relations plans as well as author and musician event coordination for 11 Greater Philadelphia locations. Prior to working for Borders Group Inc., she served as the Director of Public Relations and Events for the Terri Lynne Lokoff Child Care Foundation.
Valerie holds a bachelor of music degree with a minor in communications from Catholic University of America.
topGregory L. Cowan
Gregory L. Cowan is currently serving as a Board Member for the VWR Foundation. He is also VWR's Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, a position he has held since June 2009. In his current role, Greg is responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations.
Greg joined the company in December 2004. Prior to assuming his current position, he served as Vice President and Corporate Controller. Since joining VWR, Greg has overseen compliance efforts, the development of global policies and procedures, as well as, internal and external reporting processes. Before joining VWR, Greg spent approximately five years at CDI Corporation in various senior financial positions, including Corporate Controller, Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Office and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to CDI Corporation, he was Vice President of Internal Audit at Crown Cork and Seal Company, Inc. for approximately six years and a senior manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLC, where he served in various audit capacities for eleven years.
Greg serves on the Board of Directors of emtec and is a graduate of Rutgers University with a degree in Accounting.
Mike Coyler
Jon Michael Colyer is currently serving as a Board Member of the VWR Foundation. He also serves as VWR’s Vice President and General Manager of Science Education, a position he has held since May 2005. In this role, Mike is responsible for all entities of Science Education including sales, marketing, customer service, purchasing, product development and operations. Mike joined VWR in 2004 as our Vice President North American Call Centers. Since joining VWR, he has been instrumental in growing the business 30% and building a strong customer focused team.
Prior to joining VWR, Mike worked for Textron, a large industrial conglomerate, as the Director for Enterprise Excellence and Director of Bell Helicopter's Composite Manufacturing facility. Prior to Textron, he spent five years with GE in various roles including Six Sigma Black Belt, Ecommerce Program Manager, and Leadership Development Program Member.
Mike graduated from the University at Buffalo in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master of Business Administration in Corporate Finance.
Stan Haas
Stanley L. Haas is our Senior Vice President and President, Asia Pacific, a position he has held since August 2012. In his current role, Stan is responsible for leadership of VWR's overall activities in Asia Pacific including existing business in China, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand.
Stan joined the Company in 1985. Prior to assuming his current position, Stan served as Vice President, Global Sourcing and Supplier Development from January 2011 until July 2012 and as Vice President, Pricing and Contract Administration from January 2006 until December 2010. Since joining the Company in 1985, Stan has held numerous leadership positions across various functions including Vice President, Managed Services & Business Process Consulting, Vice President, Strategic Supply Chain Services and Vice President, Strategy & Business Development.
Stan holds a bachelor of science degree in microbiology from the University of Wisconsin and a master of business administration degree from the University of St. Thomas.
Matt Lope
Matt Lope is currently serving as a Board Member for the VWR Foundation and as an advisor to the External Program Committee. Matt also serves as the Regional Sales Manager, at VWR International, LLC., responsible for sales within the Pharmaceutical segment.
Matt joined VWR in 2005 as a Sales Representative in Atlanta, Georgia. Since 2005, Matt has held numerous positions, including Regional Sales Manager in New York City, where he was recognized as the Region Manager of the Year.
Matt holds a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration in Marketing from John Carroll University. While attending John Carroll, he was a four year varsity athlete on the men’s football team. Matt is currently in pursuit of his masters degree.
Kathy Pankanin
Kathy Pankanin is currently serving as a Vice President for the VWR Foundation and as an advisor to the External Program Committee. She also serves as Area Vice President, Sales, for VWR International, LLC. At VWR, Kathy is responsible for the Lab and Production and Education and Medical Research business for the states of Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Utah, Idaho, Montana, Alaska and Hawaii. Additional Sales responsivilities include all higher education customers in the state of California, both Public and Private.
Kathy began her career with VWR in 1982, starting as a sales representative with American Scientific Products based in Chicago. Since that time she has held numerous positions within VWR to include marketing, region management and Vice President since 1998.
Kathy holds a bachelor of science degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Colorado in Boulder. She attended the graduate program at Seattle University, where she pursued an MBA.
Kathy lives with her husband, Jim, and their four sons in Bellevue, Washington.
topPeter Trow
Peter Trow is currently serving as a Vice President for the VWR Foundation and as an advisor to the Logistics committee. He also serves as Area Vice President, Northeast Sales for VWR International, LLC. He joined VWR as a Region Manager in 1997.
Before joining VWR, Peter was Vice President, Sales for Celsis Inc. Prior to that, he served as a sales representative for various divisions of Becton Dickinson from 1981 to 1995. He began his sales career as a representative for Pfizer in 1980.
Peter holds a bachelor of science degree from the University of Massachusetts.
